my beef barley soup

  • salt
  • pepper and salt
  • stew meat-however much meat you like I use about 4 lb.
  • butter
  • onion-minced
  • celery-three stalks chopped fine
  • garlic-6 cloves
  • beef broth-6 large cans
  • worchestershire sauce-1/2 cup
  • au jus pkg.-2
  • garlic powder-1 tsp
  • onion powder-1/2 tsp
  • carrots-sliced
  • barley-however much you like i use a whole box not the instant kind



Step 1

combine flour, salt, and pepper in bag and add meat and shake put in fridge for 2 hrs.-remove and brown very well and remove.

put some butter in pan and saute onion, garlic, and celery-put in kettle and add worchestershire sauce, au jus pkgs. garlic and onion powder and some pepper and add meat and cook for 4 to 5 hours-at about last 2 hours add carrots and make barley 1 hour before done and add it. freezes well
