Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets with skin
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 8-10 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 3 inch ginger piece, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbs white sugar
  • 1 lemon - quartered

Preparation

Step 1

1. Wash salmon thoroughly and place in pan.
2. In a large bowl combine soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger and sugar and mix well
3. Pour above mixture over fillets and refrig for 4-6 hours
4. Remove marinaded fish and place in smoker at 250 degrees with hickory chips.
5. Smoke for 60-90 minutes or until fish is flaky or internal temp 140 degrees.
6. Serve with lemon
