Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine (1 cube)
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup water
- 2 bakers chocolate squares (2 packages)
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup sour milk (add 1 teaspoon vinegar to sour)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Combine margarine, oil, water, and chocolate squares in saucepan to melt over low heat
Combine dry ingredients in bowl
Add eggs, vanilla, milk vanilla
Add melted ingredients
Bake in floured jelly roll pan at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes
Icing:
1/2 cup margarine (1 cube)
2 chocolate squares
6 tablespoons milk
Combine all ingredients in saucepan to melt until bubbles form at edge of pot
Add 1 pound powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla
Frost cake while warm
Top with chopped nuts or choclate morsels if desired
