    large bakng potatoes

    T butter

  • ¼

    pound bacon , dieced

  • 1

    med. onion finely chopped

  • ½

    cups milk

  • 1

    tsp salt

  • tsp white pepper

  • 1

    cup shredded cheese


Scrub and pick potatoes, Rub each with 1 tsp butter Place on baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour or until tender/ In a small skillet cook bacon till crisp. Remove to paper towels, drain reserving 1 T drippings. Saute onion until tender and set aside. While potatoes are cool enough to handle cut a thin slice off the top of each one. Scoop out the pulp, leavng a thin shell. In a small bowl mash pulp with remaining butter. Stir in milk, egg, salt and pepper. Stir in cheese, bacon and onion. Spoon filling into the potato shells. Place on a baking sheet., Bake at 375. degrees for 20 minutes or till heated thru.
