Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (15.5oz.) cans great northern beans, undrained
- 1 cup ham, diced
- 1 (14.5oz.) can or 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1
1. Melt the unsalted butter in stock pot over medium heat.
2. Add onion, celery, carrots, and garlic and cook until softened.
3. Take one can of the beans and mash them with a fork.
4. Stir in all beans, ham, chicken broth, and salt into the stock pot.
5. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. let set 10 additional minutes before serving.
