  • 2 cups cake flour, sifted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • zest of one lemon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melter
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Step 1

1.In a large mixing bowl, sift together cake flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Add lemon zest.
2.Add buttermilk, eggs and butter. Beat until just combined. Fill each doughnut cup approximately 2/3 cup full.
3.Bake 7 to 9 minutes at 425.
4.Finish donuts with glaze of powdered sugar, milk and lemon juice.
