Cinnamon Roll Rice Krispie Treats

We made them over the weekend and they really do taste like cinnamon rolls. Just a crispy, gooey marshmallow kind of cinnamon roll. And all you have to do is add a little brown sugar and cinnamon to the marshmallow/butter mix. Stir in your rice krispie cereal, press into a pan, and top with a thick drizzle of cream cheese glaze!!

Ingredients

• 1 (10 oz) bag marshmallows,
• 1/4 cup butter
• 2 tbs brown sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 6 1/2 cups rice krispie cereal
• for the cream cheese glaze
• 2 oz cream cheese, soft
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
• 2-3 tbs milk

Preparation

Step 1

In a large saucepan melt marshmallows, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon together over medium-low heat (stirring continuously). Once completely melted remove from heat and whisk in vanilla. gently fold in rice krispie cereal.
Press into a lightly greased 9 X13 inch pan. Drizzle with cream cheese glaze!

For the glaze
Whisk cream cheese until creamy. Gently whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla. Whisk in milk. Add more or less milk to get a glaze consistency that you can drizzle. If glaze seems too thick, heat in the microwave for 5-10 seconds.
