Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk (1/2 c milk & 1 1/2 tsp vinegar)
- 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Preparation
Step 1
1. Sift together in a large bowl flour and sugar.
2. In a sauce pan mix together butter and water. Bring to a rapid boil. Pour over sugar and flour mixture while boiling hot. Blend together well.
3. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well and put in 10x15 or jelly roll pan.
4. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.

FROSTING:
6 oz cream cheese
3 Tbs butter
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cream butter and cream cheese together. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and mix well. Add a few teaspons of milk if needed.
