SPAGHETTI SAUCE (Phillip)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup + 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 4 large onions
  • 6 tsps garlic
  • 3 small cans mushrooms, drained
  • 5 pounds ground sirloin
  • 3 tsps Marjoram
  • 1 tsps Rosemary
  • 6 tsps Oregano
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 2 large packages of fresh Basil
  • 6 tsps Tabasco Sauce
  • 3 6-oz cans tomato paste
  • 2 large (28 oz) tomato sauce + 8 oz can
  • 2 large (28 oz) cans diced tomatoes

Preparation

Step 1

Fry hamburger – drain fat. Add remaining ingredients except Basil. Add fresh basil last, about 2 hours before finished cooking.

I cook this in a LARGE stock pot and then freeze it in quart-size canning jars.
