Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- dash of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 lb. sage bulk pork sausage
- dash of hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- biscuits
Preparation
Step 1
Crumble sausage into a large saucepan; cook over medium-low heat. Add onion; cook and stir until transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2 Tbsp. of drippings; stir in flour. Cook over medium-low heat about 6 minutes until mixture bubbles and turns golden brown. Stir in milk. Add seasoning, nutmeg, salt, and worcestershire sauce; cook, stirring utnil thickened to serve. Spoon gravy over biscuits.
