Fabulous Old Fashioned PopOvers

ABsolutely DIVA-licious! This is the ultimate comfort food and sooo easy to make! Diva taste with no fuss! You'll be amazed! This is an old family favorite recipe! Enjoy! I know you will!! Another option is to leave out the vanilla and top each well of popover batter with a tablespoon of shredded Swiss cheese before baking.
Ingredients
- 6 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup canola oil ( you can use vegetable oil if you must)
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla (use the REAL deal here!)
Preparation
Step 1
1. Blend eggs, milk , oil and vanilla by hand with whisk,
2. Add flour and salt. Mix at medium speed until smooth.
3. Preheat oven to 425, spray popover pan with cooking oil.
4. Fill popover cups 3/4 full. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes without opening the oven door.
5. Turn oven down to 350 and bake another 25 minutes! This extra baking time helps to cook the interior more thoroughly.
6. Sprinkle tops with confectioner's sugar before serving.
