Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound boneless chuck steak, 1 1/2 inches thick
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 Tbsps Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Cut beef on a diagonal, across the grain, into slices 1-inch wide. Place these in the slow-cooker. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Pour over the meat and mix.
Cover and cook on low for 3 to 5 hours. (I’ve cooked this all day with no problem. When it’s done you can shred the meat apart with 2 forks. Then put the meat back into the sauce. If the sauce looks too thin after shredding the meat, turn the heat to High and cook for a few more minutes with the lid off.
