Beef Stroganoff

This is a fantastic quick meal that is good served over rice, or egg noodles.

Ingredients
- Variations:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 4 oz. can mushrooms
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (10 3/4 oz can)
- 1 cup sour cream
- Steamed white rice, or egg noodles, cooked
- Can substitute sirloin strips for the ground beef, fresh mushrooms for the canned, and red chili flakes for a little heat. Fresh garlic also is very tasty.
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until onions are tender. Add ground beef. Brown meat and drain.
Add mushrooms, flour, salt, and paprika to meet. Blend well. Stir in soup. Cook for 15 minutes on medium heat. Blend in sour cream and cook for 5 minutes or until heated through.
Serve over rice or noodles.
