Ingredients
- 16 slices bacon cooked and chopped
- 1 cup diced onion(which you cook in bacon drippings)
- 1 1/3 cup flour
- 12 cups chicken broth(i sometimes add more)
- 8 cups diced peeled BAKED potato(you must bake the potatoes first)
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 3 tsp. granulated garlic
- 3 tsp. dried basil
- 3 tsp. tabasco, i use a little less
- 3 tsp. pepper, i use a little less
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheese

Preparation
Step 1
cook bacon and set aside-cook onion and add flour stirring till golden add broth warm and whisk till liquid is thickened, reduce heat and add rest, do not boil cook slowly 2 or 3 hours and add cheese last half hour
