  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar - (firmly packed)
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 1 can beer - (12 oz)
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
