Ingredients
- 1 C margarine
- 2 C brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 C all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 C quick oats
- 2 C coconut

Step 1
Beat together the margarine and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add sifted flour, soda, baking powder, salt and vanilla; mix well. Add coconut and oats and mix. This makes a very stiff batter. Chill dough. Shape into balls the size a hickory nut and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325* for 12 minutes. Makes approximately 75 cookies.
