Ingredients

  • Icing:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 package German chocolate
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 st. margarine
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk or 1/2 cup milk and tablespoon of vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 tablespoon cocoa
  • 6 tablespoon sweet milk
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 can coconut
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

To 2 cups of flour add 2 cups of sugar.
In separate pan melt and add to flour and sugar: German choc, water, and st. marg.
To flour and sugar add: soda, buttermilk/milk and vinegar, vanilla, eggs, pinch of salt.
Pour in long pan and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
Begin icing 10 minutes before cake is done.
Cook 1 stick margarine, cocoa, and sweet milk to a boil.
Add powdered sugar, pecans, coconut, and vanilla.
Pour on hot cake in pan.
