Quick Taco Salad

A delectable mashup of fresh lettuce and tomatoes, cheese and lean ground beef, without the hassle of stuffing a shell. Taco salad, we raise our fork to you.

Ingredients
- DRESSING:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 pkg. Taco Seasoning Mix (Reserve 1 Tablespoon)
- 1/4 cup water
- 10 cups torn romaine lettuce (about 1 large head)
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 2 cups tortilla chips, coarsely crushed
- ............................................
- 8-10 oz bottle Thousand Island Dressing
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 1 Tablespoon of taco seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon of taco sauce
Preparation
Step 1
1. Brown meat with onions in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat; drain.
2. Add seasoning mix and water; mix well. Bring to boil. Simmer on medium-low heat 3 min.
3. Mix dressing ingredients.
4. Divide lettuce among 4 plates. Top evenly with meat mixture, tomatoes, cheese and crushed chips. Drizzle with dressing.
