Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups Apple Juice
- 3 cups Red Rhubarb Stalks, chopped into 1/4 inch pieces
- 1 med Onion, minced
- 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
- 4 T. Dijon Mustard
- 2 T. salted Butter
- 4 T. Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 T. Red Wine Vinegar
- 4 T. Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp. Chipotle Chile Powder
- 1 tsp. Mesquite Liquid Smoke
- 1/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
- 1/2 T. Tabasco
- 1 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
Preparation
Step 1
Simmer Apple Juice and Rhubarb until rhubarb softens (mashable, ~10 minutes)
Add onion, simmer to soften.
Stick-blend mixture until smooth (consistency of Apple Sauce)
Add remaining ingredients and reduce lightly.
