  • base-1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • topping-1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tab. butter melted
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pistachios
  • 1/2 cup coconut

Step 1

350-mix flour and sugar and cut in butter for base and put in bottom of ungreased 8 inch pan-bake 20 to 25 min till light golden and cool 10 min
beat egg slightly and add all remaining ingredients except nuts and coconut-mix well and then stir in nuts and coconut

spoon filling over warm base and bake 15 to 20 min more until edges are light brown-cool 1 hour 15 min and cut into bars
