Baked Egg Custard

Ingredients
- 3 slightly beaten eggs
- 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups milk, scalded
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Ground or freshly grated nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine eggs, sugar, and salt. Slowly add milk and vanilla.
Pour into 6 custard cups; sprinkle with nutmeg on top of each serving.
Bake in a pan of hot water until mixture doesn't cling to a knife, about 40 minutes.
Serve warm or chilled.
