Chcolate Cake Donuts

I used this recipe a lot when my kids were young and had playmates spend the night. After I baked them, they would icing them with storebought icing and sprinkles. They are older now and still ask for them.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 C flour
• 1/3 unsweetened baking cocoa
• 2/3 C sugar
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 C milk
• 1/8 tsp. salt
• 2 egggs
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 TBS. butter melted

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Combine dry ingredients plus salt. Seperately, combine eggs, sugar and vanilla mixing until thick. Combine milk and butter. Alternately combine egg mixture and milk with flour mixture until smooth and soft. Spray pan lightly with cooking oil. Fill with batter 2/3 full. Bake 8 min. Cool Carefully remove. repeat, frost or glaze.
