My Favorite Tangy Cranberry Bread
By Addie
Wanna bet there's nothing new to do with that leftover turkey? This moist, light bread promises to redefine your idea of a turkey sandwich. But don't stop there... try a slice of sharp cheddar with a little English mustard. Experiment - and enjoy!
MY NOTES: This is such a great bread and it makes wonderful chicken or turkey sandwiches or is delicious with a chicken or turkey dinner! It's DELICIOUS toasted!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup cranberry juice
- 2 cups bread flour
- 1 Tbsp dry milk powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 2 Tbsps orange marmalade
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
Preparation
Step 1
Place all ingredients in bread machine, in order suggested by manufacturer. Either bake the bread in the machine on full cycle, or just use the DOUGH cycle. If using DOUGH cycle - when cycle ends, form into a loaf and place in greased pan of choice. Makes a one pound loaf
NOTES: This loaf does not rise very high and is a very dense loaf. It makes a delicious turkey sandwich! It's also GREAT toasted!
