Ingredients

    can ( 14.5 oz) petite diced tomatoes

  • 1

    Tbsp brown sugar

  • 1

    Tbsp italian seasoning or oregano

  • 1/2

    tsp each garlic powder and salt

  • 1

    Tbsp olive oil

  • 2

    crusts Schwan's Starter Crusts (671)partially thawed

  • 1

    lb bulk italian seasoned sausage

  • 1

    pkg. (8 oz.) sliced fresh mushrooms

  • 3

    cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

  • 1

    pkg (3.5 oz)sliced pepperoni

  • 1/2

    medium red pepper, chopped

  • 1/2

    medium green pepper, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Combine tomatoes, brown sugar, spices and olive oil in a small saucepan. Cover and simmer olive oil in small saucepan. Cover and simmer 25 - 30 minutes until tomatoes break down. Place crust into ungreased 1- inch springform pan pushing crust up along sides. Saute sausage and mushrooms. remove excess fat with a paper towl. Layer crust with 1 cup mozzarella cheese, sausage and muchrooms, pepperoni, peppers and remianing cheese. Top with second crust and pinch to seal edges. Cut several 1/2 inch slits on crust to vent. Bake pizza 30 minutes. Top with sauce and bake an additonal 15-20 minutes. Allow pizza to rest 15 minutes before cutting.
