Ingredients
- Icing:
- Cake: - can make cupcakes
- Duncan Hines white cake mix - follow directions on cake
- 3 large eggs - whites only
- water
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 2 lbs powdered sugar
- 1/2 C Crisco shortening
- 1/2 C butter
- 1/2 C non-dairy coffee creamer (coffee mate)
- 1/4 to 1/2 C water (start with lesser amount)
- 1/2 tsp uniodized salt
- 1 tsp vanilla flavor
- 1/2 tsp almond flavor
Preparation
Step 1
Cake: follow directions on cake mix. Beat eggs separately and fold them in at the end. Add 1/2 tsp almond flavoring per cake mix (add when you add the oil and water)
Don't over-bake or cake will be dry
Icing:
Mix 3 to 5 minutes at medium speed. You may want to use less powdered sugar for icing to spread on cake and more for icing to decorate with. Icing can be stored in freezer or refrigerator but must be well covered. Rebeat with mixer before using if stored for awhile
