Ingredients
- Dutch oven full of apples
- 2 cans apple juice
- 3 Cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
Preparation
Step 1
Quarter and cook apples in juice until tender. Press through food mill. Boil gently about 30 minutes and stir in sugar and spices. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Boil gently, stirring frequently, till desired thickness, about 1 hour. Pour into 1/2 pint jars and process in boiling water bath 10 minutes.
