Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbs butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tbs solid vegetable shortening

Step 1
Make batter to sit overnight. Combine eggs, flour, salt, milk and melted batter until smooth.
Heat oven to 450 degrees. Using solid shortening, grease a 9" metal piepan or iron skillet. Place greased pan in oven for 5 minutes to heat.
Pour batter into pan and bake for 30 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake 5 to 10 minutes longer, until edges are puffed and golden.
Remove to warm serving plates and cut into wedges.
