Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp Crisco shortening
  • 3 c. bread flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pkg yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/2 c. finely shredded carrots
  • 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese (2 oz)

Preparation

Step 1

Bread Machine:


Put ingredients in machine according to machine instructions. Use dough cycle. When machiine beeps, add carrots and cheese. Divide dough into 8 or 9 pieces. Roll into a ball. Place on nonstick pan about 3 inches apart. Press down slightly. Allow to raise for about 30 min. in a warm place. Bake @ 375 degrees for 13 min or until slightly brown. Cool on wire racks. Freezes nicely in freezer bags.
