Ingredients
- Filling:
- 1/4 cup quick oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- pinch allspice
- 4 firm apples
- 3/4 cup unsweetened apple juice
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine all filling ingredients in a small bowl and set aside. Wash and dry apples. With a sharp knife, slice 1/2" off top of each apple and set aside. Cut around core and scoop out with a spoon. Fill each apple wtih 1-2 tbsp. of filling and cover with apple top. Place filled apples in 9" X 13" pan and sprinkle with any leftover filling. Pour juice in bottom of pan. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 40 mins. Remove foil and continue baking for 15-20 mins.
