Ingredients

  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1/4 cup light Karo® syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 or 4 quarts popped popcorn

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup, & salt in bowl. Put in microwave and cook for 2 minutes. Stir and cook for 2 more minutes. Stir and cook 1 more minute. Stir and add vanilla and baking soda. Stir well and pour over popcorn. Stir popcorn to evenly coat with the caramel mixture. Or put popcorn in paper bag, pour caramel over and shake the bag to spread the caramel over popcorn.
