Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced (about 1 cup)
  • 1 medium green or red pepper, cut thinly into 2-inch-long slices or use jar pepper to save time(about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef sirloin steak (from deli for cheesesteaks) or 8 frozen sandwich steaks (about 2 ounces each)
  • 1 jar (14.5 ounces) Prego® Creamy Cheddar Cheese Sauce
  • 4 (8-inch) long hard rolls, split

How to Make It
1 Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and pepper and cook for 15 minutes or until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside.
2 Add half of the steak to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the steak is cooked through, stirring occasionally. Remove the steak from the skillet and keep warm. Repeat with the remaining steak.
3 Return the vegetables to the skillet and stir in the cheese sauce. Heat over medium heat until heated through, stirring occasionally.
4 Divide the steak evenly among the rolls and top each with 1/2 cup of the vegetable mixture. Serve immediately.
