Ingredients

  • 1/4

    cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1/4

    cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2

    tbsp. poppy seeds

  • 1

    tbsp cornmeal

  • 1

    tsp chili powder

  • 1/2

    tsp dried basil

  • 1

    pound prepared pizza dough, cut in half

  • 1

    egg white, beaten

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. coat two baking sheets with cooking spray. Place parmesan, cheddar, cornmeal, chili powder and basil in mini or regular food processor. Process until the texture of coarse meal. 2. On lightly floured board using floured hands, pat out 1/2 of dough to an 8x6 inch rectangle. Generously brush top of dough with egg. Sprinkle on 2 tsp of cheese mixture. Press down to adhere. 3. Flip over dough and repeat with egg and cheese. Using pizza cutter and starting on short side, cut into twelve, 1/2 inch wide by 8 inch long strips. One at a time, twist and stretch each strip to about 12 inch lengths. Arrange on prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough and cheese. 4. Bake until golden and firm, about 10 - 12 mins. Serve slightly cooled.
