Ingredients

  • 2/3 cups softened butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • filling
  • 6 squares semi sweet (1 Oz)
  • 1 1/4 cups lite corn syrup
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs lite beaten
  • 1 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups chopped pecans
  • Drizzle
  • 4 squares chocolate
  • 1 1/4 tsp shortening

Preparation

Step 1

In a small bowl cream butter and sugar. Until lite and fluffy Beat in flour. Press into a greased jelly roll pan and bake for 12 to 15 mnutes at 350 degrees/
Meanwhile in a large saucepan, melt chocolate wth corn syrup over low heat. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add pecans.
Spread evenly over hot crust. Bake fr 25 to 30 minutes or until firm. Cool on a wire rack. Melt chocolate and shortening, stir until smooth. Drizzle over bars. Yields 4 dozen.
