Ingredients
- 8 ounces dried beef
- 1 cup cream or milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Add just enough water to cover the beef. Let stand for half an hour. Pour off water and rinse beef off well. (This removes excess salt)
Add cream, salt and pepper and let it come to a slow boil. Melt butter and stir in flour; add to milk and beef mixture, and let it
come to a boil and cook until it thickens up.
Serve on toast or boiled new potatoes.
