Creamy White Sauce

Use this sauce for the Garlicky Spinach Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbls butter
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped shallots
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in med saucepan over med heat. Add shallots and cook until tender, about 5 mins. Stir in flour for 2 mins. Gradually whisk in warm milk; bring to boil and cook for 2 mins, whisking constantly. Remove from heat and stir in parmesan and 1/4 tsp salt and pepper.
