Ingredients
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 lbs stew meat
- 2 Tbs. canola oil
- 1 can (10-3/4 oz) tomato soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tsp. beef bouillon
- 3 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- onions quartered
- 4 medium potatoes, chunked
- 3 medium carrots cut in 1 inch slices
- 1/2 cup celery cut into 1 inch slices
Preparation
Step 1
Place flour in a large resealable bag. Add beef, a few pieces at a time and shake to coat.
In a large skillet brown meat in oil in batches; drain. Transfer to a 5 quart slow cooker. Combine soup, water, bouillon and seasonings; pour over beef. Add vegetables. Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours or until meat is tender. Discard bay leaf before serving.
