Turkey Bake

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bread, cut in half
  • 2 cups cut-up cooked turkey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2cup)
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage leaves, crushed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 325°. Layer half of the bread in ungreased baking dish, 8x8x2 inches. Mix turkey, onion, green pepper, pimiento, salt and sage; spread over bread. Top with remaining bread. Beat eggs and mayonnaise; stir in milk and soup. Pour on bread. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake uncovered until casserole is set and top is golden, 1 to 1 1 1/4 hours. Serve immediately.
