Peanut Butter Blondies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (packed) light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
  • 3 ounce extra-dark or bittersweet chocolate, cut into 1/2-inch chunks

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9-inch square baking pan with nonstick foil, letting foil extend at two sides. Spray foil with nonstick spray.

2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
In a large bowl, beat peanut butter and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed, until smooth. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar and beat until well blended. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Beat in vanilla. Add flour mixture and, with mixer on low speed, beat until just blended. Stir in peanuts, peanut butter chips, and chocolate. Scrape dough into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until done.
