Red Velvet Cookies

Easier to make than the cake and you use a cookie mix. Great for Christmas or Valentine's day. They are beautiful cookies on a plate.

Ingredients

• 1 pouch Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
• 1/3 c unsweetened cocoa
• 1/4 c butter, softened
• 1/4 c sour cream
• 1 T red food coloring
• 1 egg
• Betty Crocker Rich and Creamy Cream Cheese frosting
• 1/4 c chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cookie mix, butter, cocoa, sour cream, food coloring, and egg in a bowl until soft dough forms. Roll into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 7 to 8 minutes or until set. Cool for 2 minutes and remove from cookies sheet. When completely cooled, frost with frosting and sprinkle with nuts.
