Butter Tart Squares

  • Butter Tart Squares
  • Time 25 minutes

  • Ingredients
  • 1 c flour
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1/2 c butter
  • For topping:
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 c raisins

Preparation

Step 1


For crust: In bowl combine flour and sugar.
Cut in butter with pastry knife until crumbly.
Press into ungreased 9x9 baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min.
For filling:
In bowl mix butter and eggs, blend in sugar, flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt.
Stir in raisins then pour over base.
Bake in 350 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes.
Cool completely before cutting into squares.
