Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c small white beans
  • 4 c chicken stock
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 can tomatoes (crushed)
  • 1 large hamhock
  • 1 t thyme
  • 1 t Marjoram
  • salt/pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Put all ingredients in a crock pot, bring to a boil and boil hard 20 minutes. Then reduce to simmer for several hours until beans are soft and it looks like soup. Add salt/pepper as necessary. Monitor liquid, if it starts to get too dry add more water.

pull out hamhock bones and serve.
I put this in a crock pot for the day...
