Mushroom Beef Tips Over Noodles

This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Monroe Estate in Stephenville, Texas in 1982.

MY NOTES: This is absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef cut into 1" cubes
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cans condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup sherry
  • 1 medium clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 pound broad egg noodles dry

Preparation

Step 1

In skillet brown beef in butter then add remaining ingredients except noodles. Cover and cook over low heat 2 hours stirring occasionally.
While beef is cooking prepare noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside then when meat is done serve over cooked noodles.
