Green and Yellow Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 14oz. can green beans
  • 1 can yellow wax beans
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced ham

Preparation

Step 1

Drain the liquid from the cans of beans into a bowl.

In a saucepan, make a thickening with 1 tablespoon margarine and enough flour to form a paste. Add 1/2 of each of the bean liquids and onion powder. When starting to thicken, add the sour cream and stir until it is thick enough to coat the beans.

Put 1/2 of the beans in the bottom of a casserole dish. Add the ham and pour half of the sauce over the dish. Add 1/2 of the cheese. Repeat for the second layer.

Bake at 350 degrees or until the cheese is melted.
