Orange Fruit Dip

This colorful and tasty starter is completley indulgent. But never fear this dish still counts as part of your five a day fruit and veggie total. Who sknew good nutrition could be this tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1 Orange
  • 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
  • 1 (7.5 oz) container marshmallow creme
  • 1 tbsp orange marmalade
  • 1/2 small pineapple
  • 2 kiwifruit
  • 2 granny smith apples
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries

Preparation

Step 1

1. Completely zest skin of orange and place in mixing bowl. Squeeze orange to yield 2 tbsp juice; add to bowl with cream cheese, marshmallow creame and marmalade. With electric mixer on medium, mix until smooth. 30 seconds. Spoon into serving dish and set aside.

2. Peel and core pineapple. Slice pineapple lenghtwise into wedges. Peel kiwifruit and slice into rounds 1/4 inch thick. Slice apples into eighths and washstrawberries. Place dip in center of serving platter. Surround with fruit and serve.

Note: if not serving immediately, dip apple slices into orange juice to keep them from discoloring.
