Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 4 venison chops or steaks (1 1/2 to 2 lbs total)
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash Tabasco sauce

Preparation

Step 1

In a small, shallow bowl, mix together onion salt, salt, pepper and flour. Dip chops or steaks in mixture and coat on all sides. Fry meat in oil until brown.

Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Pour over browned meat and simmer until meat is tender -- about 1 1/2 hours.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
