Preparation
Step 1
In a 1 quart pan or bowl add ground coffee and water. Let set for 10 minutes. Stir to mix thoroughly.
Cover and place in refrigerator for 8-12 hours.
Filter coffee mixture by carefully pouring it into pitcher or other container topped with a sieve (or percolator from a batch instant coffee maker) lined with a coffee filter.
It may be necessary to switch in a new filter half way through the filtering process depending on how large/ sturdy a filter you have.
Strain the coffee mixture one more time, with new filters.
Enjoy with equal parts milk or water; heated or iced cold.
Makes 2 cups of cold brew concentrate, about 8 servings.
