Ingredients

  • lb ground beef

  • 1

    can diced tomatoes (28oz)

  • 1

    large can tomatoe paste (14oz)

  • 1

    tsp garlic powder

  • tsp oregano

  • 1

    tsp basil

  • 1

    large container cottage cheese (small curd)

  • ½

    cup parmasean cheese

  • 1

    large pkg (400g) mozzerella cheese

  • oven ready lasagna noodles

  • ½

    cup parmasean cheese

Directions

Brown beef, drain fat. In saucepan add beef, diced tomatoes, tomatoe paste, garlic powder, oregano and basil. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. In separate bowl: Stir cottage cheese and 1/2 cup parmasean cheese. Set aside enough sauce to cover top of lasagna. Approximately 2 cups and 1/2 cup mozzerella cheese. Alternate layers. Sauce, noodles, cottage cheese mixture, mozzerella cheese, sauce, noodles etc. It makes 3 layers. Spread reserved meat sauce over last layer of noodles, then mozzerella, then 1/2 cup of parmasean cheese. Bake covered for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove foil and bake until cheese is melted and browned (15min). Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before cutting.
