Texas Roadhouse Sweet Yeast Rolls
This recipe was posted on Pixelect in 2007 and has since been removed from the internet. According to the original post, it was supplied by a baking trainer of the Texas Roadhouse chain. I have not tried this yet, mainly out of fear of the "2 quarts all purpose flour." Maybe someday I will be brave.

Ingredients
- 1/2 sol. ounce cake of yeast or 1 package (2 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 3 Tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 quarts all purpose flour
- 2 whole eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt
Preparation
Step 1
1. Soften yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon of sugar.
2. Scald milk and cool to lukewarm.
3. Add yeast, sugar, and enough flour to make a medium batter. Beat thoroughly. Let stand until light and foamy.
4. Add melted butter (which has been cooled to lukewarm), eggs and salt. Beat well. Add enough flour to form a soft dough. Sprinkle small amount of flour on the counter and let the dough rest.
5. Meanwhile, clean and dry the bowl. Grease clean surface of the bowl. Knead dough until smooth and satiny. Put the dough in the the greased bowl, and turn it over to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until it has doubled in bulk.
6. Punch the dough down. Turn it out onto a floured board. Divide into portions for shaping. Let the portions rest for 10 minutes.
7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
8. Shape the dough into desired forms. Place on greased baking sheets and let rise until they are doubled in size.
9. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F. and bake for 10-15 minutes more. Brush with melted butter and cool on a rack.
