Nilaga

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef ribs (w/ bones)
  • 1 small cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bunch of green beans
  • 5 yukon gold potatoes
  • 1 Nilaga mix
  • Ground black pepper
  • Fish sauce

Preparation

Step 1

1. Boil beef and onion with water to cover. Add fish sauce and black pepper. Boil until meat is almost tender (about 45 minutes). Add Nilaga mix.
3. Add potatoes and cook until almost tender (about 15 minutes).
4. Add cabbage and cook until just softened (about 5 minutes).
5. Add green beans and cook for 5 minutes.
6. Add fish sauce to taste.

Serve over rice.
