Bangladeshi Chicken Curry

Ingredients

  • 3 bayleaves
  • 1 med/large onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • Nice big pinch of Geera
  • 4-5 Potatoes
  • 2 Lbs Bone in chicken (leg and thigh)
  • 1 tsp Tumaric powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger(add more if desired)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin (add more if desired)
  • 1/2 can of crushed tomatoes

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a pot add the 2 teaspoons of oil. Then add the onions, garlic, geera, bayleaves and potatoes.
2. Let cook for about 5 mins.
3. Now add the chicken, haldi, ground ginger, gound cumin and 1/2 can crushed tomatoes. Stir.
4. Light this come to a slight simmer; before adding water. Add enough to cover the chicken and potatoes.
5. Simmer on low until the chicken and potatoes are cooked. Add salt and pepper to taste.
